DOHA: Al Khor-Al Dhakhira Municipality has opened a new public park in Al Khor City.
The Hazm Al Jaltah project was opened yesterday in the presence of Mubarak Mohamed Al Kuwari, Director, Services Affairs Department at the municipality and senior officials. The park is spread over an area of 14,000 square metres and includes green spaces, trees and a small lake with ducks.
It also has a play area for kids, walking track, benches for people to relax in the shade.
It took some eight months to build and complete the park and is a good addition to the urban landscape of Al Khor city, officials said.
The Public Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality, meanwhile, conducted an inspection drive in Bin Mahmoud area and registered cases of violations by shops that had blocked public sidewalks.
