London---Europe's main stock markets were steady at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.06 percent to 6,833.51 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.10 percent to 10,765.00 points and the CAC 40 in Paris fell 0.17 percent to 4,687.87 compared with Tuesday's close.
