Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. During the call, they discussed bilateral relations, means of enhancing them, developments in the region and the implications of the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
During the call, the Foreign Minister affirmed the State of Qatar’s rejection of any measures calling for the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, pointing out that such measures undermine international efforts to implement the two-state solution.
