Doha: Gulf Exchange, one of the largest and oldest exchange house in Qatar, and Bangladeshi Professionals under the banner of Bangladesh Forum Qatar (BFQ), organised sports day to celebrate the upcoming National Sport Day-2019, at Al Arabi Sports Club.
Around 250 members of BFQ and Gulf Exchange and their families participated in the activities. The event was to celebrate the National Sport Day especially after the grand success of Qatar in the AFC 2019. A
mbassador of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ashud Ahmed, attended the event as Chief Guest and distributed prizes among the winners and participants.
Various sports activities were organised including football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, sack race, tug of war, coloring for the kids. The games generated enthusiasm among participants. The Ambassador also participated in the table tennis games with the professional table tennis coaches of Al Arabi Sports Club.
The Ambassador praised Bangladesh Forum Qatar and Gulf Exchange for organising such a fun filled event. He emphasised the need for sports in day to day life of all individuals and expressed his satisfaction that the Government of Qatar has taken a positive role in encouraging people to take part in games and activities.
The Ambassador later distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions. On the occasion, Gulf Exchange also recognized the best performers of 2018 and distributed awards to Best Performing Team (compliance department), Best Branch (Industrial Area), Best Employee (Abdul Azeez) and other awards.
Jaafar Al Sarraf, General Manager of Gulf Exchange, thanked all participants of Gulf Exchange and BFQ for taking active role in the program. Jaafar also thanked Al Arabi Sports club for facilitating the event.
