Qatar condemns attack on Benghazi mosque

Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack which targeted a mosque in the city of Benghazi, Libya, killing two person and injuring dozens.

In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs described the bombing as a heinous crime.

The Ministry stressed Qatar’s total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidate the civilians.

The statement reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The  Ministry’s statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government and people of Libya and wished the wounded speedy recovery.
