
Doha: The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif is arriving in Qatar tomorrow, February 10, 2016.
Sharif will be accompanied by a high-level delegation and during his visit will meet with the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Prime Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani
A number of Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) in the field of Health, Radio & Television, Education & Research and a long-term Sale/purpose agreement (SPA) of LNG would be concluded by both sides.
The main focus of the Sherif’s visit will include energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar.
Both leaders are also expected to discuss regional and international issues.
Qatar hosts more than 115,000 Pakistanis working in various sectors.
The Pakistan Prime Minister is visiting Qatar on the invitation of the Emir and Prime Minister of Qatar.
“The Emir visited Pakistan on March 23-24, 2015. This return visit by the Prime Minister in less than a year is a testimony of growing relations between the two brotherly countries,” a statement issued by the Pakistan embassy in Qatar said.
"To make this visit a momentous occasion 02 JF-17 Thunders and 02 Super Mushshak aircraft along with a PAF contingent of Pakistan Air Force have already arrived in Doha, Qatar. It will be a historic occasion when indigenously produced aircraft of Pakistan will be flying in the skies of Qatar for the first time. Both these aircraft will perform static and aerial display which would be witnessed by Sharif and the Emir, Pakistan Air Force's commander, Air Marshal Suhail Aman, his Qatari counterpart and other high ranking officials," a press release by Pakistan Air Force said..
