Microsoft launches Azure Skills Programme

Microsoft has launched Azure Skills – Cloud computing training and certification for IT Professionals in Qatar.
The Azure Skills programme will help participants advance their Cloud computing skills; driving true digital transformation, and contribute to innovative and economic competitiveness in the country. Azure training and certification offers a high-value, simple, and customizable way to enhance the technical skills of individuals and IT enterprise teams, and help participants earn valuable Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status,.
IT professionals signing up for the courses will have access to a broad range of technical resources and training at various levels including free Massively Open Online Courses in a self-paced interactive environment with the option to gain full certification. Those opting for free training will have access to Microsoft’s online catalogue of new Azure fundamentals and technical courses, with new learning material to be added each month.
 Digital certificates will be issued upon successful completion of each course.
 “Emerging technologies in the fields of hybrid cloud, mobility, data analytics and machine intelligence are changing nearly every aspect of the IT landscape, making it imperative for organizations to identify and fill the skills gap," Samer Abu Ltaif, Regional General Manager, Microsoft Gulf, said.
 "Microsoft training and certification will enable IT Professionals to address these technological challenges and develop skills required to adapt to the  major transformation taking place in the IT industry,” added Abu Ltaif.  
IDC forecasts that by 2020, more than one in three IT positions will be cloud related.
