Doha: The Public Works Authority, (Ashghal), announced that it will implement a temporary closure on Al Amir Street northbound. The 600 metres-long closure is situated at the Intersection of Al Rayyan Tunnel in the direction of 22nd February Street. It will last 8 hours-long from 1am to 9am on Friday morning 11 December 2015.
The same closure will also be implemented in the opposite direction southbound and will also last 8 hours from 1am to 9am on Saturday morning 12 December 2015.
Commuters can reach their destination by using the alternative service roads as shown in the attached map.
The closure is required to allow the construction of a bridge linking Al Rayyan Road and Al Shamal Road to reduce traffic congestion in Al Rayyan Area.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits and to follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
