DOHA: Two sailors on board Fath Al Kheir 2 sustained injuries while the dhow was on its way from India to Muscat.
A tool used in controlling the sail was damaged leading to the injury of the crew members, said Captain Hassan Issa Al Kaabi.
He said the two members were well after receiving medical attention on time and that they were well trained to face such scenarios.
The dhow is expected to reach Muscat today, said Al Kaabi.
“The atmosphere is relatively calm compared to the previous period in which we suffered wind intensity and speed.
“Crew members expressed ultimate readiness to take part in this journey and their immense eagerness will be remembered in the years to come. They are willing to reflect the beautiful image Qatar deserves,” he said.
