DOHA: A training course for Consumer Protection Department employees opened yesterday to familiarise them with Qatari, Gulf and international standards and specifications.
The course at the headquarters of Qatar General Authority for Specification and Standardisation continues until November 19. It includes lectures by experts from the Ministry of Environment.
Dr Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, Assistant Undersecretary for Specifications and Standardisation Affairs at the ministry, said it was the second such course being held this year to strengthen communication with the department and spread awareness about standardisation and environmental protection.
