Prominent Qatari women and foreign dignitaries posing for a group picture after marking the International Women’s Day at Qatar Stock Exchange headquarters in West Bay, Doha, yesterday.
DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) yesterday celebrated the International Women’s Day and organised a bell-ringing ceremony to commemorate this day and recognise Qatari women for their role in economic and social development in the country.
The ceremony was attended by Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori, CEO of QSE, and several businesswomen and public figures from the diplomatic and business domains.
“The commemoration of the International Women’s Day by Qatar Stock Exchange expresses our belief in the importance of women role in supporting sustainable development and economic activity. We are proud of the achievements of Qatari women in various political, economic, social and educational fields, and their contribution to the realization of the human pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030. ” Al Mansoori said.
“QSE has a clear interest in empowering women to carry out pioneering tasks in the Qatari cap-ital market. The Stock Exchange believes in the importance of women participation in the trading market, economic activity, sustainable development and innovation.” Al Mansoori added.
