
DOHA: The city’s municipality launched a rodent control drive on January 3, while last month it received 91 requests to fight rodents and 432 requests for fumigation.
During the rodent control drive, some 4,412 homes and 229 abandoned places were cleaned up and rodents like rats were killed.
The drive was launched in 15 areas of the city, including Najma, Doha Jadeeda, Al Asmakh, Al Jisra, Old Salata, Old Ghanem, Musherib, Frig Abdul Aziz, Bin Mahmoud and Ras Abu Aboud, among others.
The campaign continues in Al Mansoura, Al Muntazah and Al Nasr areas of the city, a press statement said.
It is waged by the pest and rodent control unit of Doha Municipality.
