Paris--Europe's main stock markets closed lower on Monday with London's benchmark FTSE-100 index ending the day down 0.24 percent to 6,837.15 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 index slumped 1.69 percent to close at 10,663.51 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 dropped 0.85 percent to 4,651.08 points.
