Katara unveils artistic corner of Georgia

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, inaugurated the artistic corner of Georgia today.
It is a tree-shaped statue symbolizing life and immortality, includes 33 letters of the Georgian alphabet, and is made by well-known Georgian artist Rizo Khasia.

Katara General Manager Prof Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said that Katara continues its mission of building bridges between cultures and peoples. The inauguration of the cultural corners, in cooperation with a number of embassies in the country, is one of the cultural artistic projects that Katara is working on.

He stressed that the artistic corner of the Georgian Republic carries cultural and human dimensions in line with the vision of the Katara, expressing his confidence that these corners will be of great interest for Katara’s visitors.

The inauguration was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Nunu Mitskevichi and Nikoloz Revazishvili, Ambassador of Georgia to Qatar.
