Doha, Qatar: The Embassy of Georgia in the State of Qatar assisted more than 200 Georgian citizens who were stranded in the country as tourists, coordinating with the Government of Georgia to organize two charter flights for their repatriation, while also facilitating transportation and transfers to Riyadh and Oman and providing medical support to those who required assistance during this period, said a statement issued by the embassy.
The Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Qatar, H E Varlam Avaliani, expressed full solidarity with the people and Government of Qatar and extended his sincere gratitude to the Government of Qatar for its support in assisting the stranded tourists by providing hotel accommodation and food throughout their stay.
