Beirut: The US-led coalition killed at least 20 Syrian regime and allied fighters in an overnight operation carried out in retaliation for an attack on Kurdish forces, a monitor said Thursday.
It launched air strikes and fired ground-to-ground missiles in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor after regime forces struck positions controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
