Al-Attiyah Foundation hosts roundtable on energy outlook
Experts from the energy industry from around the world, including Qatar, discussing 2018 industry’s outlook at the ‘6th CEO Roundtable’ meeting hosted by ‘Al-Attiyah Foundation’.

Leading experts from the energy industry from around the world, including the US participated at the ‘6th CEO Roundtable’ meeting hosted by H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah (pictured), Chairman of ‘Al-Attiyah Foundation’ and discussed challenges and opportunities in the sector under the theme: “Energy Outlook to the Year Ahead: What will 2018 Bring?”.

Well-known experts were engaged as guest speakers, including Alan Eyre, Director, Office of Middle East and Asia Bureau of Energy Resources, US Department of State, Robin Mills, Founder and CEO of Qamar Energy and Daniel Bustos, Chief Development Officer, Accelerate Energy (USA). Attendees included, Energy industry CEO’s, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Managers, Field Managers and Foundation Members.

Al-Attiyah Foundation produces four CEO Roundtables annually tackling themes that are of importance to the energy industry, Sustainable development Field and beyond. Each roundtable attracts pre-eminent thought-leaders from across the world to share their valuable insights and opinions.  In 2017, the series topics were: Innovation Technologies: Cutting Costs and Boosting Efficiency, Fossil Fuels and Renewables and The Implication of the Paris Agreement for energy and the energy industry in Qatar; including the event held on December 5, 2017. The series will continue to take place quarterly in Doha, throughout 2018.

‘The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation’ for Energy and Sustainable Development (Al-Attiyah Foundation) is a non-profit organization established to preserve and build upon Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah’s work and service in the energy industry over the past forty years including his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister, Qatar; Minister of Energy and Industry, Qatar; and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum.

The Foundation provides robust and practical knowledge and insights on global energy and sustainable development topics and communicates these for the benefit of the Foundation’s Members and community.

The Foundation’s vision is to be an internationally respected independent think tank that is a thought-leader focused on global energy and sustainable development.

Al-Attiyah Foundation Board consists of distinguished past and present influencers who are still active in Qatar’s oil and gas Industry. They all served with Abdullah bin Hamad during the transformation of the oil and gas industry in Qatar.
