The upcoming ‘Made in Qatar’ expo is receiving an overwhelming response from the exhibitors. Over 70 percent of exhibition area dedicated for exhibition has already been booked so far, said a top official of Qatar Chamber (QC), the organiser of the highly anticipated event.
The ‘Made in Qatar 2017’ exhibition, being held under the patronage of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will run from December 14-17 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
QC, which is hosting the coveted event in close cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry and other key organisations, has announced that the four-day expo will be held across an area of over 20,000 square metres. Over 300 local companies are expected to display their products. The exhibitors will represent a wide range of sectors, including all industrial sectors, heavy industries and SMEs.
Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi (pictured), Director-General of QC, said: “Over 70 percent of the total area of the exhibition, which is estimated at 20,000 square metres, has been reserved at DECC. This edition of the expo will be witnessing a large number of industrial companies and factories involved in producing a wide range of products across various sectors of the local economy.”
Al Sharqi noted the cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Industry with the Chamber in organising the exhibition. He also praised the support of the Qatar Development Bank which has been the strategic partner of the exhibition since its inception. He said that the exhibition will also have a special pavilion dedicated to local handicrafts where such entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to introduce their products and meet their perspective clients.
