MEXICO CITY: Qatari Ambassador to Mexico Dr Ahmed Abdullah Ali Al Kuwari yesterday hosted a luncheon for Qatar U-15 squad which will take part in 2015 Mexico International Football Championship.
The team was joined by backroom staff and Qatari embassy officials.
Al Kuwari wished the team success and said, “The youngsters have the potential to emerge victorious.
“Mexicans love sports and their passion is football. I am sure these youngsters will do well in the tournament,” he said.
The ambassador also urged the players to their best in the tournament.
Qatar Football Association officials presented a memento to Al Kuwari.
The tournament will be held at Centro de alto Rendimiento, the high-performance centre and home to Mexican national teams. Panama, Canada, Bermuda and hosts Mexico are the other teams to take part in the championship. QNA
