Doha: With a high number of people travelling during summer, Ooredoo has seen a sharp rise in the number of companies deploying Ooredoo Passport for their employees.
Ooredoo Passport offers 100 roaming minutes for receiving and making calls, 1GB of roaming mobile data and an extra 1GB of roaming data in GCC and gives businesses an affordable and measurable way of ensuring employees abroad stay in contact.
With an estimated 88 percent expatriate workforce in Qatar, many taking annual leave during summer and many choosing to travel after the Eid holidays, demand for roaming data and minutes has risen in recent years.
The Ooredoo Passport Card, introduced last month, provides an immediate way for people to top up roaming data and minutes allowance during the summer travel season. The card works with Shahry and Hala.
Ooredoo makes it possible for businesses to order multiple quantities of the card via their account manager so that these can be distributed across their workforce.
Typically, cards are being given to employees who travel frequently for work, occasional roaming users, and as an incentive and holiday bonus for employees taking annual leave.
As multiple cards can be activated at the same time, businesses can provide employees with more roaming allowance.
To make roaming experience more convenient, customers can also top up roaming data and minute allowance instantly via the e-Top-up section in the Ooredoo app.
The cost will be added to the Shahry bill or deducted from the Hala credit balance.
Customers can download the updated app for free via iTunes or Google store.
The Ooredoo Passport allowance is valid for seven days. It is available in over 65 countries and customers can use it within Ooredoo’s Passport network of more than 165 roaming partners.
