Doha, Qatar: In line with its comprehensive preparations for the upcoming Hajj season 2026, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs convened a high-level coordination meeting with officials and coordinators of approved Qatar Hajj tour operators locally called campaigns.
The meeting underscored the importance of integration between supporting units and campaign operators to ensure a smooth, safe, and well-organised pilgrimage experience for Qatari pilgrims.
Held as part of a series of preparatory sessions led by the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department, the meeting aimed to unify operational efforts, enhance coordination, and streamline procedures across all entities involved. Officials emphasised that close collaboration between the ministry’s supporting units and campaign organisers is critical to delivering services in line with the highest organisational standards.
The session brought together key representatives from the Qatari Hajj Mission’s supporting units, including the heads of the Contact Centre and Support Unit, the Coordination, Follow-up and Airport Unit, and the Inspection and Monitoring Unit, which also oversees services in the holy sites. Discussions focused on operational plans covering pilgrims’ departures, arrivals, and transportation logistics, as well as accommodation arrangements in the holy lands.
Opening the meeting, Head of the Contact Centre and Support Unit Khalid Waleed Al Hammadi highlighted that the unified format of the meeting, bringing multiple units together with campaign coordinators, aims to accelerate procedures and strengthen coordination. He stressed that all parties operate within an integrated system centred on serving pilgrims efficiently.
