DOHA: The Institution of Engineers India (IEI) Qatar Chapter held an annual general meeting (AGM) at the Indian Cultural Centre, recently. The AGM was attended by 34 member engineers.
Honourary Chairman Engr Aniruddha Kulkarni welcomed the gathering and appreciated the efforts and active participation of all engineers in the functioning of the chapter.
Engr Dipak Dahake, Secretary, gave a presentation on the chapter’s activities for the last two years which included technical seminars, workshops and Engineers’ Day Celebrations.
It was unanimously agreed that audited accounts and budget will be presented by the treasurer, Engr Venumadhav Dukkipati, upon his availability in Doha, through a separate AGM.
Engr Seenu Pillai, Election Officer, conducted an election for new 12 members’ executive committee where 26 members contested.
As customary, outgoing chairman proposed names for office bearers and new executive committee members unanimously selected office bearer’s for next two years term during a meeting held at ICC on April 4.
The newly elected officials are: Engr Abdul Sathar, Chairman; Engr Niranjan Limaye, Secretary and Sajeeth George, Treasurer.
The Incoming Chairman, emphasised on continuing the legacy as a most dynamic overseas chapter of IEI for benefit of the engineering fraternity in Qatar.
