Pakistan’s private sector keen to promote ties with Qatar

Doha: Pakistan is enjoying excellent economic and trade relations with Qatar which are long-lasting and continuously improving fast with the growing understanding between the leadership and people of both countries, the Vice-President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Tariq Haleem, said.

He shared his views during his meeting with Pakistan Business Forum Doha (PBFD) here recently which was participated by Pakistani delegation of businessmen as well as Members of PBFD. Karim Aziz Malik, V-P of FPCCI, was also present.

He said Pakistan offers substantial possibilities of LPG imports every year. “We have a big requirement of LPG to support the poor man and Qatar can help in this regard,” Tariq Haleem, told the participants. He said that we can do something together, with the private sectors while keeping respective governments onboard.

Mohammad Idrees Anwar, President of PBFD, said the two countries possess great potential for promoting joint ventures with Qatari counterparts in the wake of ongoing blockade which could be identified and finalized particularly in export of food items, building material, medicines, chemicals, etc. He thanked the visiting delegation and said “this visit would help in further exploring trade promotion opportunities and transform brotherly relations into a sustainable and economic partnership”.
