Vodafone enhances Trade Up service

Doha: Vodafone has launched enhanced handset Trade Up service with a Samsung Galaxy S6 offer at its stores.
The company’s first Trade Up model, launched in June 2014, was a success with about 3,000 customers trading old handsets with newer ones that allow them to enjoy faster data experience over Vodafone 4G and 4G+.
All traded handsets have been refurbished or recycled in support of eco-friendly operations. Vodafone is the only telecom operator in Qatar to offer such a service.
With the service offered by Vodafone’s new vendor PCS Wireless, and the Samsung launch offer, customers trading old mobile phones and purchasing new Samsung Galaxy S6 will receive an additional QR400 discount on S6 in addition to 15 GB of free data per month for three months on postpaid and 6 GB of free data for 90 days on prepaid.
Vodafone Qatar said: “We are delighted to launch the enhanced Trade Up service with a global provider such as PCS Wireless. It allows customers to enjoy a great data experience on our network.
“All traded devices will be recycled making the process eco-friendly and clutter-free.”
With the new Trade Up model in place, Vodafone is partnering with PCS Wireless to provide an enhanced experience and prices for customers. The  new process has never been simpler as only two key factors are evaluated to determine the price of the phone — whether the phone powers on and whether the screen is cracked or broken.
For example, a Samsung Galaxy S5 will be valued at QR750; a Samsung Galaxy S4 at QR540; an iPhone 5s at QR950; and an iPhone 5 at QR630.
Customers can bring used phone to any of Vodafone’s retail stores and with the instant value given they can trade it in for anything in store. This includes new devices such as latest 4G and 4G+ smartphones, accessories, prepaid credit or postpaid bill payment.
The transaction happens simultaneously to ensure the customer can use the Trade Up value immediately.
Trading up with Vodafone is worry-free, customers do not need to bring phone box, chargers or ear phones — only the phone and battery are enough.
There is 100 percent data security as Vodafone performs full professional data wiping before the phone is resold.
PCS Wireless said: “We are thrilled to partner with Vodafone Qatar to launch the country’s only mobile Trade Up programme.
With over 10m mobile devices processed each year in some 80 countries, PCS Wireless is able to leverages its expertise to provide customers with access to latest devices at the lowest prices, while ensuring their data remains secure.”
