Shantiniketan students excel in painting contest

Doha: The painting prodigies of  Indian schools performed excellently in an inter-school painting competition organised by Anti-Smoking Society of Qatar. 

Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) students excelled in the competition. The event was conducted in connection with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. 

Hecterge Nemsith Nimpura Peiris (Sub Junior Category) Svetlana Mary Shibu (Junior Category) bagged the First Prize while Mohammad Zayd (Junior Category) and Sinan Basim (Senior Category) won the Second prize.

Daksith Damshra got the third prize in the Junior Category. Narmeen Abdulla was awarded with a Special Prize.  More than 200 students from 15 Indian schools participated in the event that was conducted based on the theme “United for a Drug Free Society.”   

The entire SIS family congratulates the winners and the Art Department for their wonderful performance and wish them greater success in the future.
