Doha: The Joint Rainfall Emergency Committee removed over 43 million gallons of rainwater from streets all over the country.
“The total amount of rainwater removed from all regions of the country since last Friday, December 31, 2021, until 6 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022, is more than 43 million gallons,” Ministry of Municipality said on its website.
Around 496 modern pumps and machines were used and 676 people were involved in the operation.
The committee also received 726 reports requesting removal of rainwater. The rain emergency teams worked for 140 hours without stopping until all the water was removed from all areas.
