Doha: The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) conducted inspection campaigns in retail outlets across Qatar, including Al Sadd, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, and Al Mansoura.
The inspection campaigns resulted in detecting 12 violations against several retail outlets for committing breaches of the law. These included failing to write the complete data on the shop identification plate, repairing cars outside retail premises, and commercial licence expiration.
These campaigns stem from the Ministry’s keenness to monitor compliance with the laws and regulations governing the commercial sector and ensuring consumer rights protection. The Ministry stressed that it would not tolerate any negligence in meeting obligations stipulated in law No. (5) of 2015 on Commercial, Industrial, and Similar Public Shops, and Street Vendors, and the Ministerial circular on the car repair and maintenance shops in cities and commercial streets.
The Ministry is intensifying its campaigns to control violations, and to refer those who infringe laws and Ministerial decisions to the relevant authorities for appropriate measures. The Ministry also urged all citizens and residents to report any violations via its official channels.
