The podium winners of the second round of Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour Dressage.
Doha: Maryam Ahmed Al Semaitt put up an impressive show with her mount Rock On Top 2 to claim top honours in second round of Qatar Equestrian Tour ‘Longines Hathab Dressage Tour 2021-22’ at the Longines Indoor Arena of Al Shaqab yesterday.
Al Semaitt combined smoothly with the 10-year-old bay gelding returning a cumulative score of 68.276pts in the Medium (Level 1) Test 1B class to win valuable points besides a prize of QR 4,200.
Michelle Grimes, also riding the same horse, finished second logging 68.017 points while Jessica Waldon, who claimed the opening leg a fortnight ago, ended up third with 67.155 points.
In the Prelim (Level 2) Test 2B category, Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin stood first riding Vol De Nuit Tardonne.
She garnered a total score of 68.824 points.
Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari on Leslie Ann 2 was a close second with 68.235pts while Maya Charlie Crocco on Guiness was third with 66.765 points.
Ali bin Yousef Al Rumaihi, Secretary-General of Qatar Equestrian Federation and Event Director of Hathab, gave away the prizes. The 3rd Longines Hathab Dressage round will take place on the New Year Day on January 1, 2022.
