DOHA: Retaj Hotels & Hospitality, a subsidiary of the Qatar-based Retaj Group, has signed an agreement with Turkish real estate developer Ihome Insaat to manage the RetajYalova Resort being developed in the north western city of Yalova, near the eastern coast of the Sea of Marmara.

The coastal Retaj Yalova resort comprises 51 luxury apartments across 3 low-rise buildings, offering homeowners the opportunity to own their own piece of paradise in 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom options.

The project, which is more than 50 per cent completed and is expected to open in March 2019, is complete with a host of amenities designed around the wellbeing of residents, including a spa, gym, social areas, children’s playground, a private beach and more.

This step comes among the endeavors of Retaj Hotels and Hospitality to expand its international presence as a specialised Qatari company in traditional Halal Arabic hospitality services. This partnership is the result of long-standing relations between Qatar and Turkey, which have strengthened further in the face of the latest embargo. It is also evidence of the strategic bilateral relations established by the leadership of both the strategic allies.

Under the terms of the agreement with Ihome Insaat, Retaj Hotels & Hospitality will be responsible for the full management of the Retaj Yalova Resort.

This includes Retaj Hotels & Hospitality’s technical assistance until the opening date, bringing its renowned service excellence and hospitality management to this stunning new resort.

The signing of the agreement to manage the property is in line with the Retaj Group’s strategy to grow and expand its services beyond Qatar.

Dr Mohamed bin Johar Al Mohamed, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Retaj Group, said: “Since establishing ourselves as a leading specialist in real estate development and hospitality management group in Qatar, it was always our vision to expand overseas and take our brand of service excellence and traditional Arabic hospitality to new audiences in exiting new markets.”

He also noted that this collaboration with Ihome is the perfect fit for Retaj Group and Retaj Hotels & Hospitality. Ihome is a renowned developer and Retaj is the largest Halal Hotel brand.

“It presents an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our excellence to a new audience and this agreement signing is only the beginning in what we believe will be a long, successful partnership with IhomeInsaat,” said Dr Mohamed.

Abdulrahman Shusha, General Manager of IhomeInsaat, said: “IhomeInsaat started its journey in 1982 and we have executed many projects across government, education, healthcare, tourism, industrial and residential in many Arab and African countries. We eyed Turkey for investment as we found interesting investment opportunities there in many sectors, in particular real estate and hospitality, taking into consideration the facilitations that the Turkish government provides to investors. Therefore, Ihome chose the real estate and hospitality sectors to grow. We have chosen a special location over Marmara Sea, the most beautiful among Turkish cities in terms of breath-taking nature and investment opportunities.”
