Doha: During follow-up work on roads maintenance, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) found some damage to the top layer of asphalt on parts of Corniche Street.
Ashghal contacted the contractor that carried out the project to fix the damage for which it is liable as per its contract which covers a warranty for the project.
Repairs will include milling the old surface by removing the top layer of old asphalt and replacing it with a new one along the street from Post Office Intersection to National Theatre Intersection.
The road will be paved in sections to ensure smooth traffic in the area.
Maintenance work starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday. Ashghal has converted many roundabouts into signal-controlled intersections to improve traffic in densely-populated  areas.  The Peninsula
