The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met separately this morning with a number of Their Excellencies, heads of state and government, and heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries participating in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), at Qatar National Convention Center.
His Highness the Amir met HE President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, HE President of the Republic of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, HE Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Republic of the Sudan Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, HE President of the Republic of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye, HE President of the Republic of Slovenia Natasha Burke-Mussar, and HE President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
His Highness the Amir also met HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, HE Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, and HE Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed.
During the meetings, they discussed the cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and their countries and prospects for enhancing them, in addition to the topics on the conference agenda.
The meetings were attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Chief of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.
