Doha: The Philippine Embassy in Doha advised the public its temporary closure until January 9 as some of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
In a message, Philippine Ambassador H E Alan Timbayan said other personnel have also started to show symptoms and are now being closely monitored by the Embassy.
“Embassy personnel who have tested positive for COVID-19 will quarantine for 14 days at home while the rest for 7 days and will be tested again on Saturday, January 8,” he explained.
It will resume operations on January 10. During the closure, the Embassy may be reached through the following numbers: Consular Hotline at 555275123; Assistance-to-Nationals, 66446303; and Duty Officer, 44831585.
