DOHA: Dr. Subhash B. Nair, Principal, Shantiniketan Indian School in Doha, has been selected by the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development for this year’s national award for teachers.
He will receive the award from President Pranab Mukherjee during a ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi tomorrow.
The award recognises Dr. Nair’s service as a teacher and an education leader that inspires his colleagues to continue with excellence to transform schools into a safe learning environment for children while enjoying learning experience.
National awards for teachers are given away by the Indian President on September 5 coinciding with Teacher’s Day every year.
