Racers take part in an Ekka race involving horse drawn carts, organised every year during the holy Hindu month of Shravan, in Allahabad yesterday. Shravan is considered the holiest month of the year for Hindus and on every Monday of the month, known as Shravan Somvar, worshippers offer prayers for a happy and prosperous life.
