Beirut: The delegation of the Qatari National Athletics Team arrived in Beirut to participate in the 2nd edition of the West Asian Youth Championships.
Ten countries, including Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and host Lebanon are taking part in the Championships.
The Qatari delegation is headed by Secretary-General of Qatar Athletics Federation Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, in addition to the administrative and technical bodies for athletics and 16 athletes, including three female athletes.
The athletes list includes Nayef Khasif and Omar Daoud (110m hurdles), Saeed Al Sahouti (100m and 200m), Tamim Al Tamimi (100m), Abdul Majeed Zakaria (200m), Ismail Daoud (400m and 400m hurdles), Muhammad Noah (400m hurdles), Abdul Rahman Abkar (400m), Ahmed Jibreen (shotput and discus throw), Khaled Al Hajj (discus throw), Saja Saadoun (200m and 400m hurdles), Layal Ibrahim (heptathlon and high jump), and Samar Al Mansoori (pole vault and triple jump).
The Championship will conclude on July 6.
