Doha: Qatar University (QU) has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei to bolster work in experience exchange fields of common interest.
Qatar University President Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, and Dr. Haji Noor Irfan bin Haji Zainal, President of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, signed the Memorandum, which will bolster the work on field of exchanging information, including publications, periodicals, studies, statistics, and other areas of cooperation relevant to the scientific, administrative, technical and research field according to this agreement.
Dr. Al Derham confirmed in his speech delivered during the signing ceremony, the importance of framing the cooperation between the two institutions in the areas of common interest, indicating that the university has a network of numerous relationships with a broad range of institutions and universities from around the world.
He underscored the importance of exchanging the experiences through students and teaching cadres exchange program, saying that the university of Qatar welcomes those interested in learning Arabic Language in the Center for Speakers of Other Languages, which is considered one of the best centers for Arabic Language education.
President of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University said that the Islamic University aspires to cooperate with Qatar University in various fields, particularly in Arabic Language learning field and students exchange in research studies and other fields of common interest.
