DOHA: Under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) will organise the official Teacher’s Day celebration on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Ministry’s theater, under the theme: “Dedication that Cultivates Generations.”

This celebration comes in recognition of the contributions of teachers and their pivotal role in preparing generations and shaping the future. The event will include honouring a distinguished group of teachers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication throughout their teaching careers.

Qatar celebrates Teacher’s Day in conjunction with World Teachers’ Day, which falls on October 5 each year. The international day was established by Unesco in 1994 to implement the 1966 Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.

It highlights their role in advancing education and emphasizes the importance of providing them with sufficient support.

The Ministry affirmed that Teacher’s Day is an important occasion to renew pride in the mission of education and to highlight the role of teachers as a cornerstone in achieving sustainable human development, in line with Qatar’s National Vision.
