New York: Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations H E Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees H E Filippo Grandi at the Permanent Mission’s headquarters in New York.
During the meeting, aspects of cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees were reviewed.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance joint efforts to alleviate the suffering of refugees and displaced persons around the world through the provision of humanitarian and relief assistance.
The Permanent Representative also met with Attorney General and Minister of Justice of The Gambia H E Dawda A. Jallow at the Permanent Mission’s headquarters in New York.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them. They also exchanged views on several matters of mutual concern.
