Doha: Al Jamia Al Islamia, a renowned Islamic University at Santhapuram in the southern Indian state of Kerala, will launch ‘Knowledge World’, an education complex with diverse courses.
This was announced by Dr Abdussalam Ahmad, the rector of Al Jamia, during the alumni of the university’s Qatar chapter recently. Established in 1955, Al Jamia Al Islamia is one of the oldest educational institution in the southern India that was forefront in education and social innovations.
The annual meeting under the banner ‘Dikrayath 2018’, jointly organised by Al Jamia al-Islami alumni, students of Women’s Islamic College Wandoor and the residence of Santhapuram in Qatar, was inaugurated by K C Abdullatheef, the President of the Centre for Indian Community (CIC) in Qatar.
Abdurahiman Ahmad, the chairman of the organising committee, annnounced the ‘Excellence Awards’ instituted by the Alumni Qatar Chapter for Al Jami’a Students.
