Doha: The Ministry of Labor has published statistics for December 2021. As per the details reported by the ministry there were 2,173 labour complaints last month against establishments.
Out of these complaints, the Ministry said that 1,855 are still under process, 69 settled and 249 referred to committees.
The number of complaints by domestic workers against employers reached 104, of which 62 were under process, 26 settled and 16 referred to committees.
There were 113 complaints from public against establishments and all of these were settled.
The number of inspections by ministry touched 2,909 in 2021. During these inspections 558 warning were issued to companies and violation reports were prepared against 246 companies.
The ministry also said that out of a total 2,985 applications for profession change only 15 were rejected. And from 1409 new recruitment requests, 490 were rejected.
The ministry also suspended dealings with 38 establishments for violating the Labor Law.
