Doha: Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad toured yesterday the permanent headquarters of Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal Mohamad accompanied by Minister of Culture Sheikh H E Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, who is also Chairman of the Organising Committee for Qatar National Day (QND) 2022.
During the tour, the Minister was briefed on several cultural and heritage events accompanying the activities of the Qatar National Day, which falls on December 18 of each year and is held this year under the slogan “Our Unity Source of Our Strength”.
The tour included a visit to the pavilion of productive families in the Darb Al Saai market, where she was introduced to the activities of the shops participating in the market.
The Minister of Social Development and Family praised Darb Al Saai events and the efforts of the Organising Committee to show aspects of Qatari history, heritage and values to the children and visitors of Darb Al Saai events, which coincide this year with the State of Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
