As part of Qatar's Ministry of Defence's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, HE Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, paid a field visit to the Italian forces supporting the joint force for securing the tournament.
The visit was part of an inspection tour of forces participating in securing the event.
HE Dr. Al-Attiyah was accompanied by Lieutenant-General (Pilot) HE Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, and HE Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al-Mannai, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs and Chairperson of the Ministry of Defence's executive committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and HE Major General Saeed Hsain Al-Khayarin, Combined Joint Task Force Commander for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, along with a number of senior Qatari officers.
