DOHA: Indian Sports Centre in association with Qatar Table Tennis Association organised ISC Mega Mart Open and Inter Organization Table Tennis Tournament on August 30-31 at Qatar Table Tennis training centre, Ras Bu Abouud, in which more than 175 boys, girls, men and women of different age groups participated.
The first part of the tournament was open for any Indian national for boys and girls in under 14 & 19 age group , men and woman in 19 to 40 years and above 40 years of age group.
The second part of the tournament was Inter Organization where various Indian owned / managed companies participated as teams.
Doha chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was the winner whereas Larsen & Toubro was the runners up and Galfar Al Misnad became 2nd runners up in the tournament.
In the Open Tournament Dhanya Kumar Adapa was the winner and Adheep Sengupta was the runners up in boys under 14 years singles category.
In girls, under 14 years singles category Samridhi Bharadwaj and Tanish Kaur Sodhi were the winner and runners up, respectively.
In boys, under 19 years singles category Kaushik Manikandan and Umang Sanjeev Gupta were the winner and runners up, respectively, whereas in girls under 19 years singles category Mithila Sunil Kumar was the winner and Kundanika Khanna was the runners up.
