Doha, Qatar: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim honoured 47 students from the Religious Preparatory Secondary Institute at their graduation for the academic year 2024–2025.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Undersecretary of the Ministry H E Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, along with officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, directors of various departments, diplomats, and representatives from the embassies of the graduates’ home countries.

The ceremony highlighted the Ministry’s strategic commitment to religious education, viewing the institute as a cornerstone for developing future imams, scholars, and preachers.

This year, 178 students from 36 different countries benefited from the institute’s scholarship programme — 46% of whom achieved academic excellence by the end of the first semester. The programme, recognised as one of Qatar’s leading educational and da’wah initiatives, aims to serve students from across the Islamic world.

In his address, Director of the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance Jassim bin Abdullah Al Ali, expressed pride in the graduating class.

He commended the Ministry’s efforts to provide high-quality religious and academic education that cultivates intellectual leadership grounded in Islamic values.
