Doha: The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted Libyan electoral commission in the capital, Tripoli, which left a number of people killed and injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance that rejects violence and terrorism, regardless of its motives and reasons.

The statement considered the attack on the electoral commission a refused criminal act that undermines the international efforts aimed at achieving a political solution and restoring security and stability to Libya.

The ministry expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the victims and the government and people of Libya, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. (QNA)
