QREC to make their presence felt at Breeders’ Cup Worlds

In the second major event since their partnership was established in January, Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) will be present at the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. QREC will be the sponsor of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club Juvenile Turf Sprint Stakes on November 4 at the Breeders’ Cup debut at the iconic racing venue, Del Mar, against San Diego’s vibrant backdrop, beautiful beaches and sunny days a perfect trifecta.
Issa Al Mohannadi, QREC Chairman stated: “As part of our commitment to elevating our international presence with thoroughbred racing leaders of similar calibre around the world, we look forward to a fruitful partnering with Breeder’s cup. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship and encouraging the international thoroughbred community to support and race in Qatar. Our participation today is testament to this remit.”
“It is our great pleasure to reciprocate in our partnership with the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club in presenting the Qatar Juvenile Turf Sprint on the Saturday Breeders’ Cup World Championships program,” said Breeders’ Cup President and CEO Craig Fravel.
“Mr. Issa Al Mohannadi hosted the outstanding H H Emir’s Sword Festival earlier this year at Al Ryyan Racecourse in Doha, and in turn, we look forward to hosting him and QREC officials at Del Mar next month for a spectacular two-days of international racing,” he said.
QREC attach great importance to international partnerships such as these as they are essential in securing and elevating Qatar’s international presence while supporting our illustrious heritage, the local culture and its traditions.
QREC also focuses on and communication with the most prestigious racecourses and expanding the exchange of experience on the organisation of races and the various fields related to the equestrian sport in order to promote the international races organised by Qatar and the equestrian sport in general.
