Doha Bank and ICSS unite to promote skill development and professionals’ employability

Doha Bank, one of the largest commercial banks in Qatar, joined forces with the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) by supporting the Young Professionals Development Programme (YPDP), a new initiative developed by the ICSS aimed at providing fresh graduates and emerging young talents both based in Qatar and internationally with a valuable opportunity to advance their skills and increase employability through gaining professional career experience by being involved in global projects in the field of safeguarding sport. 
With the generous support of Doha Bank and its dedicated approach to corporate social responsibility, under the mantra of ‘doing well by doing good’, the programme will award up to eight scholarships annually to young talents providing them with the opportunity to work on various projects to gain professional experience at the ICSS and its global initiatives such as Save the Dream. 
Working both at the ICSS headquarters based in Doha and from remote locations across the world, the YPDP participants will be able to gain experience in diverse international work environments by contributing to projects that are being delivered in collaboration with the UN bodies in areas such as: Promotion of social innovation through sport; Use of sport in the humanitarian context; and Protection of children from mistreatments happening in sport.
The young professionals will benefit from gaining knowledge by being tasked with assignments varying from research to project management and other areas of work covered by Save the Dream activities and the overall mission of the ICSS.
