Doha: QatarDebate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman and the Oman Debates Center, announced the opening of registration for participation in the 3rd edition of the Asian Arabic Debating Championship, which will be hosted in Muscat, Oman, from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, 2025.

In a statement, the center indicated that the organizing committee will open registration for university teams from Asian countries interested in participating, urging interested teams to register through the official website of the QatarDebate Center.

The statement pointed out that the championship aims to bring together elite university teams from various Arab and Asian countries within a competitive platform, utilizing classical Arabic.

This will enhance dialogue and critical thinking skills among university students, contribute to the development of a generation capable of expressing themselves with confidence and clarity, and qualified to discuss global issues objectively and respectfully.

The championship also seeks to strengthen Arab identity, consolidate the values of civilized dialogue and cultural communication among peoples, and open up horizons for knowledge exchange and experience-building between Arabic-speaking and non-Arabic-speaking students.

This supports the development of public speaking and eloquence skills, and empowers young people to play an active role in building a bright future for their communities and entire Asia.

The championship is the result of a strategic collaboration between the QatarDebate Center, one of the world's leading institutions specializing in the art of debate, and the Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, which places special emphasis on empowering youth and opening channels for cultural and intellectual dialogue.

The Oman Debates Center also plays a pivotal role in developing this art form within the Sultanate.
