Doha: Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani led the State of Qatar’s delegation to the 68th Ministerial Meeting of the Committee for Commercial Cooperation, the 54th Meeting of the Committee for Industrial Cooperation, and the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the Committee for Standardisation Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The meetings were held yesterday, in the State of Kuwait.
The meetings were attended by the Ministers of Commerce and Industry from the GCC member states, in the presence of H E Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Throughout the sessions, the Ministers discussed a range of topics of mutual interest.
They also reviewed the recommendations and agenda items presented by the preparatory meetings of the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Commerce and Industry of the GCC and adopted appropriate resolutions accordingly.
In a related development, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani participated in a consultative meeting that brought together the GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry and the chairmen of GCC chambers of commerce.
Discussions focused on key matters and proposals submitted by the chairmen of the chambers, with appropriate decisions and measures taken in response.
