Doha: Charge dAffaires of the US Embassy in Qatar Natalie Baker underlined that the relations between the United States and Qatar are stronger than ever, thanks to the partnership between the two countries in various fields.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Natalie Baker said: “The bond between the United States and Qatar is stronger than ever, thanks to our extraordinary partnership in pursuing shared goals and addressing regional and global challenges.”
“Bilateral relations between the US and Qatar in trade, education, humanitarian assistance, security, and defence have broadened and deepened significantly in recent years,” she added. She expressed pleasure that Qatar featured the United States as the Country of Honour for the 2021 Year of Culture, which included programming in music, art, literature, sports, business, and more.
The US Embassy Charge dAffaires underlined her country’s keenness to enhancing relations with Qatar and establishing a legacy for the future, saying: “This year, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of US-Qatar diplomatic relations and look forward to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, we are excited to continue to build on our strong foundation, with an eye toward establishing a legacy for the future.”
